Lawn bowls is at the heart of Calliope Central Sports Club, bringing together players, members and visitors through friendly competition, community spirit and a shared love of the game.
Formerly known throughout the bowls community as Calliope Central Bowls Club, our Club has a proud presence within the Port Curtis bowls district and continues to provide a welcoming place for bowlers of all experience levels to enjoy the greens, connect with others and be part of a strong local sporting community.
From social bowls and club competitions through to major carnivals and representative events, Calliope Central has built a reputation as a passionate and competitive bowls club. Recent achievements include Calliope Black claiming the 2026 Bronze League title after an outstanding undefeated finals campaign, alongside strong representation at state level events.
Bowls at Calliope Central is about more than results on the green. The Club has a proud history of hosting events that bring people together, including community and charity bowls days, as well as popular tournaments that welcome players from across the region.
